So far it's been doing well.We bought this to replace a similar model that lasted over two years before the internal shovel assembly stopped working. I've got to do a little surgery soon and see if I can repair it. A fine feature of these ice makers; they make hard, dry ice cubes that last longer in your drinks. And it's fast, as advertised. The "cubes" are actually elongated and donut-shaped. The ice maker has three cube size settings. Better yet, you're going to save some serious money and effort with this product. A bag of ice retails for around $4.00. Depending upon how much you use, this ice maker can pay back within a year. We'll run it for a day and stockpile the ice in Ziplock bags.
